Please let me know what you think of this new format for our Discussion Forums. Hopefully, this blog will make it easier to follow the discussion topics. I'd like to consider the next couple of weeks a trial period. If we seem to like this forum better than the old one on the PCUUC website, then we can use this one exclusively.
Please also feel free to use this portion of the blog (General Comments) for exactly that...any thoughts that don't seem to fit anywhere else can go here.

Good idea Sara - let's see how this works. I will say I liked the forum on the website and found it easy to follow the different threads. I wonder if that will be more difficult to do on a blog. I do like the fact that I can subscribe to the RSS feed though, so I will be notified when anyone adds a post or comment.
I like this. I had a little difficulty following the threads on the other forum. I do think this is a terrific way to communicate if people follow certain protocols about courtesy and avoid "flaming" which is easy to do without realizing it. There really is nothing better than face to face interaction, but this can be informative and fun if simple rules of courtesy are followed.
I like this too, Sara. The option to subscribe to the RSS feed is very nice. I think the forum layout gets a little unwieldy when a lot of people respond to the same thread and I hope this format may work a little better.

I like the idea of using a blog- I found it difficult to follow the threads on the other discussion board.

I have an idea, but I'd like some feedback from others... I think it would be nice to have another section to the blog called "PCUUC Connect" where we can post questions or information about non-church related topics.
For example, if I am looking for a good electrician or a babysitter, I would rather learn about someone from a person I know rather than looking in a phone book. Or, if I have some object I'd like to recycle or a service I'd like to offer, this could be a place to post that kind of information.
